Graham Walsh of Holy Fuck remix
My first introduction to Toronto’s Bishop Morocco was by including them in an episode of last year’s Indie Music Filter Podcast; an episode dedicated to artists currently signed to Hand Drawn Dracula.. The song included was an unmastered version of ‘Disco Guitars’. Now, the song is finished and aptly titled ‘Last Year’s Disco Guitars’, which is bundled with Graham Walsh’s (Holy Fuck) remix of the song as a single, free to download from Hand Drawn Dracula.
The video is directed by Eva Michon (Bad Day Magazine) and features fashion designer Rita Liefhebber and Jacob Jurkiewicz.
Bishop Morocco is James Sayce (ex-Tangiers, Deadly Snakes) and Jake Fairley (Fairmont) combining their expansive musical backgrounds and influences. Referencing sounds from classic Joy Division and Jesus & Mary Chain to newer bands a la Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, this is highly recommended for fans of new incarnations synth-pop and new-wave. Bishop Morocco‘s anticipated self-titled debut album will be released June 1st 2010 by Hand Drawn Dracula
