It is with saddened hearts that we report the sudden passing of Devon Clifford, drummer of one of our favourite bands, You Say Party! We Say Die!, after he collapsed  during a show in Vancouver on Friday night.

Darryl Weeks, the band’s publicist, issued a statement this morning conveying the devastation and sadness felt by those close to Devon: “It is with absolute sadness to report that our dear friend, Devon Clifford passed away just hours ago in a Vancouver hospital surrounded by family and friends. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.”

While playing an all-ages show at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Devon suffered a brain hemorrhage, and was rushed to hospital.

Our thoughts are with Devon’s family and his friends during this tragic and difficult time.
