From Los Angeles, California comes X, the legendary punk band that were born out of the original American movement, forming in 1977 and re-uniting in 1998 after a brief hiatus throughout the late 80’s and early 1990’s.  With a line up that’s evolved slightly throughout their multi-decade existence, the outfit currently consists of original members Exene Cervenka, founders John Doe and Billy Zoom and DJ Bonebrake.

Signed to Elektra in 1982 (though the band is currently signed to Rhino), X originally earned attention for their unique mix of punk rock and rockabilly, managing to achieve relative commercial success – as well as a mass cult following and endless critical acclaim – in a genre that was often overlooked by the mainstream.  Currently, they still continue to tour collectively and independently while also actively supporting the Sweet Relief charity in the wake of Cervenka’s recent MS diagnosis.
