From Crosby, Stills and Nash to Art Garfunkel, 26 album covers have been given the Ikea makeover. ALthough, £499 does seem a bit steep for a beat up old couch. We got in touch with Chris aka BLTP who made the covers to ask him how the idea came about, he explained:

I suppose it started with Tapestry, as part of its appeal especially with my female friends was obviously the great music but also the lifestyle Carole King seemed to be living. It had a pared down cosy bo-ho style not dissimilar to everyone’s favourite Swedish furniture store. Then a few days later I saw the Art Garfunkel LP in a flea market and the idea to pastiche them as IKEA catalogue came to mind. After that I found a few more and it sort of snowballed. I suppose it’s a playful spin on aspirational nature of lp covers and also an excuse for some word games and well bad puns. It’s almost a curse as I’ve started to look for them every time I see some old vinyl.
