Earlier this month it was confirmed Weezer have signed to independent label Epitaph and a return to form is expected on their forthcoming album Hurley after several mediocre efforts on former label Geffen. The band have released the first track off the new disc, which is out September 14, called “Memories” and you can listen to it below.

Hurley will be Weezer’s eight studio album following last year’s Raditude. They’ll be touring North America for the rest of the summer leading into the fall and have one Canadian date in Edmonton for the Sonic Boom Festival on September 4. [Exclaim]
