This could be either the best or worst thing ever, and honestly I can’t wait to find out: ABC is working on a new show about an ‘all-girl’ band from the 90s who is trying to reunite.

Described as a cross between Spinal Tap and the Go-Gos (the good), but with the Go-Gos reimagined as “four Gwen Stefani [characters]” (the bad?). It’s being created by Seinfeld writer Jennifer Crittenden and Scrubs scribe Gabrielle Allan.

“We’re excited about what happens to a real dream when you have to walk away,” Crittenden says. “Now it’s 20 years later and they’re wearing Sketchers and mom jeans and they’re trying to pursue this dream.” Great, more mom jeans jokes! Those’d been covered, I thought.

The show has no start date yet but will air on ABC. Stay tuned, for sure. [via VIdeogum]
