R. Kelly’s Trapped in the Closet is about more than adultery and the mafia and whatever else happens in its first 22 chapters. At its core, it’s about love. And, as TMZ uncovered, that’s exactly what came of it.

Rolando Boyce and LeShay Tomlinson are perhaps better known as Rufas and Cathy, the cheating couple that starred in the first instalment of the series. What you might not have known is that they met and fell in love on the set six years ago. They got married three years after that and have been together, happily, ever since. They’ve had two kids and are raising two more from past marriages and so far, nobody’s pulled out their gun.

They can’t say for sure whether they’ll be included in the next 32 instalments of the series, but the couple seems hopeful to work with R. Kelly again.

“We haven’t seen [R.Kelly] in a few years but we’d love to film with him again,” says Boyce. “Especially after everything that happened to us because of the video.”
