Better late than never is the idea behind the release of Cee-Lo’s “All Alone Now,” a track written for Whitney Houston’s 2009 comeback attempt I Look To You. The song, which was written in reference to Houston’s then on going separation from Bobby Brown, never made it on the album, meaning this is the first we’ve heard of it since it was written nearly five years ago.

The song’s producer, Waajeed, uploaded Cee-Lo’s demo version of the song today, which he says was written as if Houston was singing directly to Brown.

Listen to it below and imagine Whitney Houston’s pipes on the track.
