Nothing says the summer season like the sleek, sullen sadness of Mark Kozelek’s Sun Kill Moon project, who today released a video for the song “Black Kite”.

Like the song, the Gabriel Shepard directed video is strikingly barren. In it, trees flutter in reflections and pass by in and out of focus while water ripples with fog trailing across the horizon. It’s all very gloomy, but in a pretty way that we’re going to have to recommend checking it out. Do so above.
