Forget the shootouts, coke-slinging and terrible 80s dance scenes—Beanie Sigel’s taken hip-hop’s obsession with Scarface to a new level.

“You can’t get me on this, you gonna get me on that, can’t get me on that, so you know the Al Capone story — taxes,” he told MTV’s RapFix Live, obviously alluding to the fact that he’s a straight up gangster.

As you might already know, Al Capone was a reputable mob boss in the 1920s. He was involved in all kinds of corruption, but its his shoddy accounting that got him jailed.

Beanie Sigel would have to believe he’s in the same situation. He pled guilty to tax charges earlier this month, and it’s looking pretty likely that he’ll serve 2 years in jail, even though he said in the same interview that “friends in high places” are working on some things for him. Do you know who else had friends in high places? Al Capone. And look how that worked out for him!
