Because he’s the best, when Andrew W.K. heard about two of his fans getting married, he did what any rock star would do — called both of them and left a message of partying joy.

According to the couple, Nick and Karissa Tarlowski, the calls came after a friend contacted someone in W.K.’s circle try and alert him to their fandom and pending nuptials. In posting the message on YouTube, Nick adds that they “support his philosophy of living life to the fullest, getting as wet as possible, and partying very, very, very hard, whatever your definition of partying may be.”

We found the messages on our phones at around 3am when we had finally made it back to our hotel room. It was an incredible surprise on the happiest day of our lives. We wanted to share our lovely surprise with the world so that maybe Andrew will see this someday and read how happy he made us on our wedding day.

W.K. is himself celebrating these days – it’s the 10th anniversary of his landmark debut, I Get Wet.
