According to Noozehawk, the “freshest news in Santa Barbara,” Neverland Ranch was on fire earlier today. The magical 3,000 acre home was under siege (from fire) when an “an improperly-maintained barbecue-hood system” burst into flame, although the seige (fire) was out by the time the U.S. Forest Service unit arrived shortly after 10 a.m.

This is not the first time the fabled children’s dreamland has been set ablaze by an angry Old Testement God; in 2006, 100 firefighters responded to a wildfire which had overtaken 40 acres of the property.

We’re not sure what happened to the Neverland Ranch Fire Department, but it seems they might have departed when the home’s former owner, singer / dancer Michael Jackson, moved out in 2005, eventually dying.
