Band on Coachella poster isn't actually playing Coachella

NYC punks Show Me The Body aren't atually playing Coachella, despite their name on the poster.
The newly-revealed Coachella lineup might not be quite as forward-thinking as previous iterations, but the 2017 edition of the festival still promises two full weekends’ worth of performances from the likes of Radiohead, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and many more. New York hardcore act Show Me The Body, however, will not be playing, despite what the official poster says:
Squint way down the list on day 3 and you will (sort of) clearly see that the band is marked as playing both weekends on the Sunday, April 16th and 23rd. However, as the band made clear through their Twitter feed, they never agreed to play the festival, having declined their invitation to perform:
It’s not clear what led to the erroneous billing, though it’s likely due to a simple lack of communication, not Coachella organizers trying to pull a fast one on a relatively low-profile punk band from Queens. What is clear is that as much as the world could use some scuzzy, rap-infused hardcore punk to bum out the Panama hat set, that sadly won’t be happening. Oh well, there’s always the next year.
