Dischord - Two Hours Traffic, or the amount of time it just took to rererewrite this post..Annoying.

I’ve completely dissected my latest blog efforts, and have decided it’s time to just rewrite the whole f***ing thing. Too Much Fun. So I decided originally when I found out I’d be writing about Two Hours Traffic that I was going to do some googling on “bands in P.E.I.” and I found this.

That’s right, it’s a whole wiki page about the music of Prince Edward Island; win. I guess I wasn’t expecting to find too much, but the best part was this:

You know the saying “If you looked up the word________ in the dictionary ‘so-and-so’s’ picture would be right next to it”?

That’s exactly what happened, because the only pic on the page is of them playing a show at “a local pub in 2007” however, unless I haven’t been downtown in too long, I was under the impression that The Horseshoe Tavern was still in Toronto.

I’m pretty sure it is last I heard.

It’s just surprising, I mean, P.E.I. has a population of 139,800 people, there’s got to be a sizable contingent of folks

a)    with the internet

b)   interested in indie music

But what the hell do I know, I don’t really use Wiki for anything other than regurgitating information. And who the hell really wants to sit at home and update wikipedia on bands..

So I don’t know what’s going on in P.E.I. sue me, I figured I’ve gotta start somewhere, apparently though, there’s not much going on, considering no one really thought there were any other successful bands worth mentioning other than THT and a band called Chucky Danger.

I guess it could have mentioned the Danks, but I guess someone thought it would be cheating considering two of the members of THT are in The Danks.

I digress, “What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.”

This post has gone horribly awry..
