Throughout their career Children of Bodom have made their mark with the occasional cover, serving up renditions of songs by everyone from CCR and Iron Maiden to Britney Spears and Pat Benetar. It’s weird, then, that their latest, a cover of Dropkick Murpyhs “I’m Shipping Up to Boston” might be the most unexpected one yet.

Yeasayer have released a new song, “Henrietta,” appearing online last night after members of their mailing list received it via CD through snail mail. The band hinted that new music would be coming when they announced some summer tour dates (they’ll play Osheaga on August 3), so this song could maybe be just the beginning.
