This time next week, the North By Northeast Music Festival will invade the streets and bars of downtown Toronto for its 18th consecutive year. This storied Canadian music festival is known for being a magnet for bands at all stages of their career. It runs five days and nights with a whopping 650 bands to choose from including The Flaming Lips, Raekwon & Ghostface Killah, Bad Religion, Matthew Good, Protest the Hero, Of Montreal, Plants and Animals, and about a million more (well, 644-ish more).
