The National Ballet of Canada Plans White Stripes Performance

As part of its 2010-11 season, The National Ballet of Canada is set to perform a contemporary ballet that features music by The White Stripes interpreted by an orchestra. Chroma by English choreographer Wayne McGregor debuted at London’s Royal Opera House in 2006 and will now be performed in Toronto in November. According to the CBC, the ballet uses songs such as “The Hardest Button to Button” and “Blue Orchid.” White Stripes singer Jack White has been invited to the premier.
