The Top Five Worst Grammy Moments

Green Day

Courtesy of AUX TV’s Music Director, Jeff Rogers, here are the top five worst Grammy moments.

1. The opening – what was that, I like Gaga, I like Elton but i don’t like the fame factory or the hype man for gaga. I thought it was a play of the music business done by jr. high students until I realized that was really Elton John.

2. Green Day – a broadway play!! I thought it was a Saturday Night Live sketch. Who is the market for a Green Day broadway play? How much are tickets? I won’t go unless tickets are less than $6. and it is an all ages show. What happened to the band that refused to fire Pansy Division as the opening act. I did like the actors touching the members of Green Day and those guys pretending this was not happening. I pretended it was not happening at home.

3. Black Eyed Peas – nice costumes, I think they raided the wardrobe cellar belonging to the movie Tron. Welcome to the past.

4. Bon Jovi – The most interactive band in the world has their moment. I did like that it did not cost .50 cents to vote on the phone like it used to but I do think there should have been some songs that the band would not have wanted to play. Like “Do you Believe In Life after Love” by Cher or “YMCA”. If that happened I would have dragged my finger across the mouse pad to vote.

5. Lifetime achievement awards being in the pre-show. Boo! I would have like to see Leonard Cohen up there with Little Wayne doing a cover of Europe’s “The Final Countdown”.
