This morning’s new music news; The Thermals will tour North America this Fall in support of their upcoming album ‘Personal Life,’ M.I.A. has pledged to play a free show after last weekend’s set was cut short due to lightening and Chromeo kicked off their summer tour with a gig in Washington D.C. Monday night.

Last week the New York Times published a profile piece about singer/rapper M.I.A. Needless to say, the article was not well received by the musician as she immediately went on the offensive and posted a message on her twitter page saying it wasn’t the ‘trufff’ and provided the phone number of the writer, Lynn Hirschberg.
