Haifa Wehbe is a hugely successful pop star in the Arab community, and is evidently considered one of the world's most beautiful people. But she is no stranger to controversy and has received criticism before for things ranging from her provocative clothes and lyrics, to her very open political stance (for example, she has been known to publically praise Hezbollah). The latest uproar stems from a new song Wehbe released called "Where is Daddy" (see the adorable and trippy video below), which contains the lyric "the Nubian monkey", a very derogatory reference to black Egyptians of Nubian descent. Wehbe has apologized and claims to have been unaware of the meaning of the term (she did not write the song), but a group of Nubian lawyers are working to have the song banned.
