Supergroup/musical collective Massive Attack have announced the release of their fifth studio album, their first full album in seven years. Heligoland will be released February 8, 2010, a mere four months after they released the 4our-track EP Splitting the Atom (pretty impressive output!). According to the blog on their website, they will be collaborating with several other artists, many of whom have appeared on previous recordings, including Damon Albarn (singer/songwriter of Blur and Gorillaz), Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio), and classically trained vocalist Martina Topley-Bird. The website has very few details so far, besides a track ist, but visitors are encouraged to check back "for more news over the next couple of weeks".
