The Guardian is featuring an audio interview between journalist Paul Morley and Blur frontman Damon Albarn, in which they discuss Albarn's solo work, the Blur summer reunion, and his other side projects. The most exciting tidbit Albarn shared is that 'virtual band' Gorillaz will be releasing a new album in 2010 called Plastic Beach, which will feature contributions from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed, Barry Gibb, Mos Def and The Horrors. Albarn also says that this will be his most "pop" album to date, but moving away from "saccharine" "mainstream" pop (whatever that means...). There is no release date yet, but we can be sure of hearing more about this as it develops.
