  1. MEME ALERT: Barack Obama singing LMFAO, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga

Here’s another stupidly amazing thing from the depths of the weird, weird Internet. Youtube user BaracksDubs has taken the time to chop out words, syllables and other random clips from Barack Obama’s presidential speeches, and cut them together seamlessly over pop instrumentals by LMFAO, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga.

  2. Kids Choice nominees prove that kids have terrible taste in music

The kids still love Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber. I’m ok with that, but some questionable nominees include LMFAO, Big Time Rush, Toby Keith, and the Black Eyed Peas. Sometimes I feel like when you ask a kid what they like, they’re just remembering and repeating whatever flashy crap was shoved in their faces that year.

  3. #Beliebers, #KatyCats, and #Kelebrities: Top 10 Ridiculous Fanbase Nicknames

In order to survive on a major label in a world where people no longer buy CDs, pop stars need to make themselves very accessible to this major demographic on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media. It’s a direct line where you can feed the impressionable youth iTunes links, merch stores, and concert dates. Some of the most commercially successful artists take this direct contact a step further, and foster a sort of perceived “membership” of sorts. You’re no longer a fan — you’re part of a team.

  4. MEME ALERT: Close-Ups of Pop Stars (Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, and more)

Celebrity Close-Up is a Tumblr that has been posting high resolution photos of celebrities’ faces. The high resolution photos aren’t exactly forgiving, so the faces featured on this blog kind of make them look like glossy, makeup-caked monsters. A great number of these famous face belong to pop stars young & old, so I thought I’d post a few of my favourites. Check out Celebrity Close-Up for hundreds and hundreds of horrifying close-ups of celebrity faces.
