00:00:54:17 The band consists of Ian, Dean, Chuck and Jake.
00:00:58:03 They have been bringing their talent of pop punk music
00:01:00:23 to their fans since 2007.
00:01:03:03 They have been described and exclaimed as one of this years
00:01:05:17 finest contributions to Canada's melodic punk community.
00:01:08:29 Their latest album, Let's Start A Riot
00:01:11:18 has gained widespread media claim from it's catchy hooks,
00:01:14:19 lyrical optimism and fist-pumping anthems.
00:01:17:13 Two hits from the album are Sleep So Sound
00:01:20:22 and the Waiting Room, both backed by music videos.
00:01:24:11 Recent television performances include MTV Live

00:01:48:24 Well, as they are guys, just going to keep it simple and
00:01:52:09 masculine but as beautiful as possible for the camera light.
00:01:55:05 So I am really excited.
00:01:58:28 And Katie, what have you planned for hair?
00:02:00:26 For hair, we are also going to keep it pretty simple,
00:02:03:02 we are just going to get a bit of product in there,
00:02:05:07 rough the hair up and keep it nice and rock and roll.

00:00:49:04 We just came home from a western tour,
00:00:51:02 it was about three week long tour, we did really well.
00:00:54:09 There were kids in every city who knew us
00:00:55:15 and they were singing along because the tour happened,

00:01:29:00 so you guys were like playing in my city like the next day,
00:01:31:19 so I had to come check it out I think so it really helped.

00:03:44:28 Him and I, we met each other when I was in another band
00:03:47:27 called The Fullblast touring the east coast and Dean was a
00:03:50:13 promoter and also playing in a band called Dreams Among Stars
00:03:54:28 and we ended up doing some shows together.
00:03:57:02 I met him there with sort of an instant friendship and then
00:03:59:04 after I parted ways with the band and just moved to Toronto
00:04:03:16 and was doing kind of my own thing.
00:04:05:10 I saw Dean showing even though he was living downtown, he had
00:04:08:02 moved from P E I and we just got together, started writing songs
00:04:12:28 and it was one of those relationships that was sort of
00:04:15:03 instantaneous not only were we good buddies,
00:04:16:26 we wrote pretty cool music together and I thought...
00:04:19:28 I wasn't sure if I was ever going to play in band again for
00:04:22:04 a while and I was just sort of like figuring what I wanted to
00:04:24:16 do moving to Toronto but meeting Dean inspired me to play again
00:04:27:21 and yeah, so here we are.

00:01:58:10 and living in that sort of that turmoil of I can't find a job

00:02:07:01 this time I was living in a basement apartment
00:02:08:29 it wasn't really that nice
00:02:11:18 and Dean and I were hanging out, writing songs
00:02:13:12 and one day I just kind of said to him man like I am struggling
00:02:16:10 making these bill payments and everything is just kind of like
00:02:19:01 sort of collapsing but I still want to be in the band,
00:02:21:22 I still want to write music. But lately I feel like
00:02:23:23 I have been really living the artist life.
00:02:26:11 And then we just kind of looked at each other like,
00:02:28:11 that could be kind of a cool band name and then stuck...
00:02:32:00 so since then.
00:02:33:25 Tell a story like, oh man, our band broke down or you know
00:02:36:13 I am so broke I can't afford anything.
00:02:39:06 Yes, people always say to us you are living the artist life.
00:02:42:10 We are like again we are playing a show for like 20 kids
00:02:45:10 in the middle of nowhere in Saskatchewan.
00:02:48:10 We always look at each other and...
00:02:50:15 because everyone is like moral might be a little bit low
00:02:52:14 and we look at each other and we just like living a dream bro.

00:03:18:28 In certain ways some music has become so called modernized

00:03:24:02 the message is absent and that it's becomes
00:03:28:03 more of background filler than it has inspiration.
00:03:34:02 So if you can sort of implement that into your
00:03:35:28 song writing process and go into it with the intention of
00:03:40:20 inspiring someone to do something better.
00:03:43:25 If you can somehow do that I think
00:03:46:20 that's what music is all about, you can empower someone
00:03:49:00 and I think it is the ultimate thing.
