00:00:26:28 I think the 10 for 10 Tour is important because
00:00:29:10 hardcore is really a community of people and a lot of the times
00:00:34:13 I mean obviously everybody has got bills to pay
00:00:36:18 and bands just can't travel on the road for free,
00:00:38:12 you can do a tour for this like for $10 you can get out so
00:00:41:14 many kids who would ordinarily not come out to a show
00:00:44:11 because it's actually feasible for them.
00:00:46:19 When I started to go out on a hardcore show it's 5 bucks,
00:00:49:22 10 bucks the max you pay for a show
00:00:51:25 and you would get a whole community of people out
00:00:54:10 to relly appreciate it and really be a part of it
00:00:57:09 and I think that it's really cool the bands of this size
00:00:59:13 and this caliber are willing to do something like that
00:01:01:17 because you don't see that very often these days.
00:01:03:17 Shows these days are like 25-30 bucks to see bands like these
00:01:06:10 and not a lot of kids can afford that
00:01:07:22 especially with the economy the way it is right now,
00:01:10:09 it's really cool, to see bands pulling together
00:01:12:23 to do something like that, it's pretty awesome.
00:01:15:08 [Music]
00:01:33:13 I think in general, the response to the album
00:01:36:07 has been pretty positive.
00:01:38:28 I always found that we were a really
00:01:40:27 love and hate kind of band,
00:01:42:06 either people really like us or they really don't
00:01:44:04 and quite honestly I wouldn't have it in any other way.
00:01:46:09 So that's how I prefer it, so those love it, love it,
00:01:49:04 those who don't, don't.
00:01:51:02 [Music]
00:02:19:28 We are appealing to a niche market,
00:02:22:14 not everybody is going to be in the tactical death metal.
00:02:25:12 So it's not enough to sell a record to be a touring band,
00:02:29:25 you don't make much off the record it's all touring,
00:02:33:12 door guarantees, merch sales and stuff like that,
00:02:38:13 and that's what allows us to keep going.
00:02:40:12 It allows us to eat.
00:02:43:28 So that niche market with the response we have been getting is
00:02:47:02 more and more people coming out,
00:02:50:13 which gives us bigger opportunities,
00:02:52:01 which puts us in front of more people and then
00:02:53:11 more people start coming out the next time we are there,
00:02:55:27 it's just been a building process on that.
00:02:58:18 So the response on the album it's just really great for that
00:03:01:05 because it's definitely demonstrated that
00:03:03:03 we are starting to move forward.
00:03:05:09 [Music]
00:03:29:03 There is the part where we are trying to write
00:03:31:06 a lot of groovy stuff,
00:03:32:28 we are trying to get people to really get into the music
00:03:35:27 and stuff like that but, there is that other element
00:03:38:10 where we want to challenge ourselves
00:03:39:14 and so we really want to play like
00:03:41:00 there is a lot of Jazz influence in what we do
00:03:43:03 and that's in there because that's just what we like to do
00:03:45:00 and yes it's complicated,
00:03:46:20 yes it's hard to play, yes it's hard to understand at times,
00:03:49:10 but that's just how we like it,
00:03:51:01 and people seem to especially when the first time they see us,
00:03:56:08 that tends to be the fist thing they spot is like,
00:04:00:08 these guys are playing really fast.
00:04:02:20 [Music]
00:04:18:03 I think what we do is kind of a good combination,
00:04:20:04 and there is good solid grooves,
00:04:22:11 but there are a lot of chaotic rift going on
00:04:24:28 and I prefer music that challenges me as listener,
00:04:28:18 I like something that when I go to listen to it again
00:04:32:05 I am going to hear something different,
00:04:34:04 the next time I hear it and the more
00:04:36:01 that I hear it the more what I hear what's going on.
00:04:37:17 I find, I prefer records that
00:04:39:21 grow on me that take time to internalize,
00:04:42:04 now that's not for everybody, some people want to...
00:04:45:26 and that's cool if that's what they are into.
00:04:48:01 I prefer music that is really colorful
00:04:50:29 and it's challenging as a listener.
00:04:52:28 [Music]
00:05:12:05 Starring Janet Leigh is been a band since about 2003
00:05:14:20 and through the course of that we have gone through
00:05:17:02 right like now I am the only original member,
00:05:19:07 we have gone through,
00:05:20:18 like we are on third bassist, almost fourth.
00:05:24:28 We think it's our second or third singer, second drummer,
00:05:28:23 second guitarist, yeah it's been really challenging
00:05:32:09 because especially the kind of music that we play
00:05:33:28 there is a certain kind of player you need to do it.
00:05:36:28 We have had I guess a string of bad luck when it comes to
00:05:40:13 the guys who talk big and then when it comes down to it
00:05:46:03 they are checking out, or they have got other priorities.
00:05:48:16 I think it's made us stronger as a band as a whole
00:05:51:25 and it's really kind of helped to solidify both our sound
00:05:54:01 and I guess our vision for what we want to do.
00:05:57:28 I mean at times adversity is friendly...
00:05:59:25 that's probably the best way to put it,
00:06:01:05 there were lot of times where I was sitting there saying
00:06:03:26 what the hell I am doing with my time,
00:06:05:17 why not just go and join touring band,
00:06:07:21 but I really believe in the music that we are making
00:06:11:23 and I believe in the guys who are doing it with it us.
00:06:17:18 So it's a struggle, but you know what, no good things come easy.
