HEADSHOT PLAYS BRIDGESTOCK MUSIC FESIVAL ON HARD
Welland, Ontario is a hotbed of talent in the hardcore music scene. Headshot chats with Hard on playing the all ages Bridgestock festival and the cross-pollination between band members from different groups.

00:00:34:20 We have have played under a tent in a lightning storm,
00:00:36:24 that was probably like the worst site experience.
00:00:39:03 So we figured if we can play through
00:00:41:03 a lightning storm under a tent,
00:00:43:18 we could probably in the day light at [inaudible] Festival.

00:00:56:03 It's a little weird because it's daytime,
00:00:57:22 and usually when you see kids like moving around and stuff,
00:01:00:28 it's in like a club, it's dark, and all compressed or whatever,
00:01:04:22 but it should still work out pretty good.

00:01:25:28 The hardcore scene, just kind of going on well,
00:01:29:07 and basically as soon as that happened,
00:01:31:21 people started listening to it a lot more.
00:01:34:16 All the old bands that played punk rock and what not,
00:01:37:28 they just kind of disappeared.
00:01:40:10 When the scene started off a long time ago,
00:01:41:28 we had a lot of bands, like In These Walls are playing today,
00:01:45:08 [inaudible] Union,
00:01:46:21 A Day And A Deathwish.
00:01:48:19 There are a lot of other bands that,
00:01:50:17 they kind of started in a different like genre
00:01:53:28 and then they like progressed into it.
00:01:55:28 In These Walls has always been like that,
00:01:57:24 but Dead Only Better, turned into Attack in Black.
00:02:01:18 I don't know, welling just kind of attracts that style I guess.

00:02:17:10 There are so many different types of metal,
00:02:19:05 and everyone is playing all of their own different stuff.
00:02:22:24 That's pretty much what we did, like we play metal, hardcore,
00:02:24:28 whatever you call it, but we are not really defined by a style,
00:02:28:20 we just like play what comes to us,
00:02:30:28 and I think that's what any band should do.
00:02:33:16 You play what hits you in the heart,
00:02:35:17 and that's all there is to it.

00:02:53:18 I have been in other bands,
00:02:55:02 and he has been in another band with me.
00:02:56:29 They have been in all of their own separate bands,
00:02:59:25 and we are all kind of friends that just binded together
00:03:03:03 and decided like it was time to just try and make it.
00:03:06:19 But that's how it's always been.
00:03:08:18 We are all used to doing it ourself.
00:03:10:21 We are all used to losing a lot of money,
00:03:14:03 like driving and everything,
00:03:16:08 like you don't get paid a lot when you are doing it yourself.
00:03:20:20 So we just do whatever we can and hope for the best.
