00:00:22:11 it's a 50's inspired shoot,
00:00:24:10 lot of color, flair, but with a modern edge.
00:00:27:28 The band is really cool; they are crunk rock, awesome!
00:00:31:08 First shot is going to be the guys outside hanging out
00:00:34:04 looking cool, looking hep, looking awesome.
00:00:36:06 It's going to be great.
00:00:37:16 Second shot is going to be the guys inside at the lunch bar
00:00:41:05 and sitting around maybe some in front of the bar, some behind
00:00:45:27 and third shot is going to be the guys sitting and standing
00:00:48:13 amongst the diner and it's really colorful and bright
00:00:50:28 and it's going to look really cool.

00:00:57:00 As you know today, we are shooting the Stereos,
00:00:58:28 everybody is really excited about these guys,
00:01:01:07 let's take a look at their Band Foto Breakdown.
00:01:06:08 The band consists of Pat on vocals, Miles on lead guitar,
00:01:09:21 Robby on rhythm guitar, bassist Daniel and drummer Aaron.
00:01:13:25 Their debut self-titled album Stereos is filled with hits.
00:01:18:09 Summer Girl debuted number one on the iTunes top songs chart
00:01:22:12 staying there for five day
00:01:24:13 and achieved double platinum selling status.
00:01:26:17 Throw Ya Hands Up helped Stereos to become the first band
00:01:29:15 in history to achieve two consecutive number one hits on
00:01:32:23 the Billboard emerging chart as they knocked out
00:01:34:29 their very own debut single Summer Girl.
00:01:37:21 These long time pals are gaining fans at an unbelievable speed
00:01:41:04 and based on the great success of their songs
00:01:43:00 and their fun personalities,
00:01:44:28 they are set to become huge stars in the music industry.

00:02:07:14 Well, all the guys have really funky hair cuts, long, short,
00:02:10:08 so we are just going to make them look hot and sexy.

00:02:16:28 There is a lot of color in the shoot today, the diner is
00:02:19:24 so colorful so I am adding some more punch to the color with

00:01:34:00 outside the Bus Terminal Family Restaurant
00:01:36:18 and we are shooting the Stereos.
00:01:38:08 First shot is going to be right out here on this bench
00:01:40:18 and it's going to look awesome.

00:03:02:13 Well, if you have seen the show disBAND,
00:03:05:07 you will see our epic journey being a band.
00:03:08:21 And we had a long drive from Edmonton to Toronto;
00:03:12:25 we had to come up with a name.
00:03:14:23 Yeah, we had this really long drive three days,
00:03:16:06 we listened to a lot of music
00:03:17:25 and the name stereos or the word stereos just popped up
00:03:20:11 in a lot of different music that we listened to.
00:03:22:16 Ice Cubes first crew was called the stereo crew and Rancid,
00:03:26:22 one of our favorite bands referenced as stereos
00:03:29:03 like just lyrically a lot.
00:03:31:08 And so we don't think there is a lot of bands out there like us
00:03:34:14 that would actually be influenced by both
00:03:37:05 Ice Cube and Rancid and the word wasn't like
00:03:40:05 it just kind of like made sense, it just kind of
00:03:42:02 popped in our heads and when we had the idea was...
00:03:44:07 we knew this was it.
00:03:46:05 And so we were just like...
00:03:47:15 basically listening to music and this word came out a lot.
00:03:50:03 Robb and I and Miles all used to be in a band together.
00:03:52:27 That band broke up and then Robb and Pat started a band, and then
00:03:57:29 Robb and I started talking again and then it all kind of...
00:04:02:11 their band broke up, our other band broke up
00:04:04:12 and all kind of came together.
00:04:06:03 It did a lot of like the whole explosion
00:04:08:18 of the band happened overnight,
00:04:10:13 definitely like it was because of an episode
00:04:12:29 of disBAND that aired and then basically the next day
00:04:15:25 thousands of people knew who we were and that was really crazy
00:04:20:02 but on the other hand for us, it wasn't overnight,
00:04:22:16 it was ten plus years of work,
00:04:25:03 the night our episode aired, we played a show to like
00:04:27:11 five people and then the next day we couldn't put anymore
00:04:30:09 like to without being noticed.
00:04:33:07 What was unique about our band was that Dan, Robb and I was
00:04:36:22 like without a band at all, just three of us just kind of
00:04:39:28 started writing songs together without having a band
00:04:42:16 for like over a year and a half.
00:04:44:11 Yeah.
00:04:46:05 And so we didn't worry about playing shows,
00:04:48:04 we are like getting at the people who were dedicated
00:04:49:24 because it is hard to get everyone together
00:04:51:20 so we just wrote songs and then once we had the songs,
00:04:53:27 then we found members and it is hard to put together
00:04:57:28 but if you want to do it, you are willing to work the day job
00:05:00:15 just so you can practice at night
00:05:02:04 and quit jobs to be on tour.
00:05:04:03 Yeah, we just wrote some songs, like what's important
00:05:06:20 and like we knew the members would follow,
00:05:08:23 like they would come, once we had the part of the song.
00:05:11:20 14 drummers later, we are good.
00:05:15:15 We are under a 14 right now.
00:05:17:15 So fingers crossed.

00:01:16:20 I like. I played in like I guess like heavier bands growing up,
00:01:20:25 so I have always come and like acted like the band
00:01:23:05 I looked up to on stage so I go a little crazy.
00:01:26:10 Anyways, he was just getting crazy on stage
00:01:28:25 and decided to do something
00:01:32:16 we are still trying to figure out what it was.
00:01:34:10 I was hopping around, having fun, I was kind of overwhelmed
00:01:37:06 by the 8,000 people in front of me.
00:01:38:29 He is bouncing backwards and then at one point,
00:01:40:28 he just basically freaks out.
00:01:43:23 He foot is hard... Kicks his foot up like go-go dancer.
00:01:47:23 Something I have never seen in my life.
00:01:49:06 One thing lets another... I didn't see where I was.
00:01:50:28 I was on my back foot and I have this thing
00:01:53:17 where I throw my guitar to one side,
00:01:55:09 then back, and it just... the combination of it all
00:01:57:28 -took me out -He was just... bails.
00:02:03:05 Yes. It's hilarious.

00:02:31:00 anyone who was watching the big screen at the stage.
00:02:33:23 So if you are the concession stands you missed it,
00:02:36:16 but if you weren't at the concession stands
00:02:39:05 you heard the laughing.
00:02:41:03 You know what he got right back up and continued playing.

00:04:20:04 we thought we had everyone fooled
00:04:21:29 and the thing it was tropical and
00:04:23:27 we were on a beach in some faraway amazing place.

00:04:32:29 And our good friend well, and I will just leave it at friend,
00:04:38:12 Tim Deegan ruined the entire front that we had on the video
00:04:43:08 and so that we shot it on Scarborough.
00:04:45:13 So not so tropical, not so nice, not Tahiti.
00:04:48:06 -It was freezing cold. -Freezing cold.
00:04:49:18 Like the wind, like ruined my ears for like two weeks like
00:04:52:17 it was a real chore sometimes but it was fun,
00:04:56:04 it was our first video so I was like on top of the world.
00:04:58:04 Yeah, we were freaking out. And at the same time
00:04:59:27 we were freezing, so it was awesome.

00:01:09:03 So it's like let's be honest, we have a very distinct fan base
00:01:11:16 but those are the kids that will freak out,
00:01:13:10 they will buy your songs 10 times on iTunes.
00:01:15:22 When a lot of the people who are into less mainstream bands
00:01:21:06 use the Limewire a thousand times more too.
00:01:24:23 So I mean I wouldn't try fan base to the world,
00:01:28:05 with that fan base coming
00:01:29:29 there is a lot of people who hate us just
00:01:30:29 because of our fan base,
00:01:32:04 who don't even really listen to the music or
00:01:33:08 who don't like the kind of music.
00:01:34:29 And if you don't like that kind of music anyways then
00:01:36:28 it doesn't matter to me.
00:01:39:04 Yeah, groupies is the wrong term to use
00:01:41:07 but I think that by having like a lot of little girls
00:01:43:23 saying that they love you all the time,
00:01:45:07 that they want to marry you and they freak out,
00:01:46:24 it's like really weird because
00:01:48:24 yeah, like Dan said, it's like we know each other
00:01:53:29 so well and see our like... to see Dan get that response
00:02:01:00 and when he goes to it's weird
00:02:03:02 At the same time it's amazing,
00:02:04:07 we love our fans and like for them
00:02:06:23 the whole thing is such a high position
00:02:08:26 that people look up to is amazing.

00:02:15:23 is probably the most unscrambled feeling ever,
00:02:18:21 it's like everything you have ever worked for,
00:02:23:08 paying off more than you thought it would basically.
00:02:26:27 We spend so much time in the studio working on the songs
00:02:29:10 and like he said you know like year-and-half,
00:02:31:27 we were writing songs
00:02:33:03 just perfecting the hustle as we say.

00:02:45:23 we were so hungry to see how our first song,

00:02:51:00 that's good enough for the people that hate you,
