00:00:25:20 Music is a fun and it's like
00:00:27:12 what is positive and what is negative.
00:00:30:13 I think that the main responsibility of a musician
00:00:33:26 is to make great art
00:00:35:20 but in order to make great art
00:00:36:28 you have to find some truth.
00:00:39:12 So some people might say Metallica
00:00:41:29 is negative music, but I disagree because
00:00:46:23 I know James Hetfield,
00:00:49:11 and I've seen his transformation in his life
00:00:51:13 and I've seen the way the kids go to a show who feel
00:00:54:22 a sense of disenfranchisement but through
00:00:57:08 emotion of that music, they are transformed and
00:01:00:08 they come to a place where it Wow!
00:01:03:00 Maybe I can talk to my mom about everything that
00:01:04:28 I feel in my life,
00:01:06:13 but through this music
00:01:07:20 I am giving voice to these emotions that I am feeling.

00:01:19:21 One of the great things that we're seeing
00:01:22:22 in terms of the internet has been the
00:01:26:10 I guess the marketization
00:01:28:28 of access even to the internet because it used to be
00:01:32:01 oh, well, you can type on a chat room
00:01:35:08 or you can like type on somebody's message board.
00:01:39:14 But now it's like anybody with the very limited understanding
00:01:45:08 of technology can put their own film clip up on YouTube.
00:01:50:28 And it's changed the way we look at the world
00:01:56:16 in terms of both entertainment and information
00:01:58:28 which taken it out of just the hands of the new services
00:02:02:11 or the main entertainment producers
00:02:05:25 and it's put into the hands of everyday people.

00:02:38:08 and like probably about an hour a video tape a day,
00:02:42:08 it's just enough time to edit it all.
00:02:45:16 So in terms of me and understanding of technology,
00:02:49:23 it's really about getting my Final Cut skills up to speed
00:02:52:28 so I can do it fast.

00:03:15:00 only good can come in.
00:03:17:05 and yes, there is stuff like well,
00:03:19:04 how do you know that everything on the internet is true?
00:03:22:00 Well, how do you know that anything is true that you hear?
00:03:25:24 It's like you hear other things, and other things
00:03:27:28 and they either support it or they get it.

00:03:40:28 Especially, in terms of solving the crisis
00:03:44:05 that we see today, it's like you have to know
00:03:46:08 what they are first.
00:03:48:13 You know, and today people know more about
00:03:53:22 more parts of the world than ever before
00:03:55:25 and I think only good can come in that.
